Overview
This role involves joining the organization’s legal team to support enterprise-wide contracting operations across multiple service lines, including Procurement, Asset Services, and Global Occupier Services.
You will report to the Assistant General Counsel and leader of the Contracting Centre of Excellence. Responsibilities include implementing contracting operational efficiencies and drafting, negotiating, and managing a high volume of commercial contracts.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts and related documents (including technology agreements) to ensure terms align with business objectives, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in vendor agreements, agency agreements, engagement letters, and other real estate and commercial contracts.
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and internal policy changes; update attorneys and contract templates as needed to maintain compliance with laws, corporate directives, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to operational improvements and best practices for contract workflows, templates, and efficient contract handling.
- Collaborate with team attorneys to share best practices and align negotiation and risk management strategies.
- Advise internal clients on applicable policies and contract matters.
- Support attorneys with the development and updating of training materials and perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate strong AI fluency or willingness to become proficient to enable integration of AI into daily work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, real estate, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 7 years’ experience independently negotiating and managing processes for complex commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts; experience negotiating technology contracts is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work innovatively and with flexibility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with willingness to initiate, drive, and promote change management related to contracting processes and approach.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Expert knowledge of contract lifecycle management and related systems, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with technology contracts and engagements.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation for the position: $89,250.00 - $105,000.00.

- Competitive pay may vary based on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, geographic area, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
- The employer will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
