Legal Consultant – Margin Lending & Equity Derivatives / Prime Brokerage

Overview

This role is for Legal Consultants with Margin Lending and Equity Derivatives / Prime Brokerage experience to support a global investment banking client.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for equity-backed financings, including margin loans using APLMA or similar industry-standard loan agreements, and related security and ancillary documents.
• Draft, review, and negotiate equity derivatives documentation (e.g., total return swaps, collar financings, and related confirmations).
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues relevant to equity financing and equity derivatives transactions.

Requirements

• 4–8 (+) years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) with directly relevant experience in margin loans and/or equity derivatives, ideally in a leading international law firm or financial institution.
• Strong experience with industry-standard loan documentation (e.g., APLMA or similar).
• Familiarity with equity derivatives products such as total return swaps and collar financings.
