Overview

This role is for a Probate and/or Trust & Estates Attorney to support estate settlement matters on a contract basis. The position is fully remote and designed to offer flexibility while maintaining the level of sophistication expected in probate and estate administration work.

Responsibilities

  • Handle probate matters and related estate administration proceedings
  • Complete required probate forms and supplemental court filings, including (but not limited to):
    • Inventory and Appraisal
    • Accounting
    • Final Distribution documents
  • Apply jurisdiction-appropriate forms and filing requirements based on local rules
  • Maintain familiarity with local/jurisdictional rules governing the probate process

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience handling probate matters
  • Knowledge of appropriate forms and filing requirements based on jurisdictional rules
  • Experience completing probate forms and supplemental court filings, including (but not limited to) Inventory and Appraisal, Accounting, and Final Distribution documents
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Outstanding references
  • Licensed and in good standing in New Hampshire

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: The annualized pay for this contract position ranges from $150,000 to $210,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.
  • Contract pay is based on multiple factors including (but not limited to) work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
  • Benefits: Contract professionals are usually W2 employees and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week.
    • Complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D for benefits-eligible contract professionals
    • A qualified 401k plan is also available
    • Benefits-eligible attorneys receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend
